Types of Sciences:
Formal and Empirical, social and natural sciences are a subdivision of the Empirical.
Formal Sciences study formal systems and are governed by symbols and rules. Good examples are: mathematics, logic, statistics, linguistics, among others.
Empirical sciences study nature (natural sciences) and human behavior (social sciences).
Social sciences study human behavior and its social aspects, the social life of individuals and groups in society, such as Anthropology, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Communication, History and Linguistics, among others.
